The music is of my own creation. Since the DDoS attack of 2024; Archive has been a hit or miss on the uploading factors. And many of my releases have specific dates for release. With the uncertainty of the uploads happening it causes me to break focus on working with music and watch the upload to make sure there isn't a 503 happening each file. (which sometimes happens frequently.) I am in search of a similar uploading process with an unlimited amount of uploads. I don't want to make money off of my music. I don't want to individually input over 2000 songs; including their metadata and other factors. Many sites that we both have heard of; have various limitations or are not privacy friendly platforms ran by a company that seeks to be Big Brother from 1984 and watch us in a Brave New World. I would simply P2P my music on nicotine+ or even have a server for my music. The only thing stoping me on P2P my music on nicotine is the requirement of have a big enough stickdrive to have it available all the time (along with other music and films i share already.) I could buy a 1TB one for that. The server setup is quite complicated and searching online the past couple of days keeps leading me to... (o yeah i forgot to add how reddit has that popup now after a few seconds of looking at their site on the other post... and the google thing on devs. if you read both then the open source closing is that purpose.) Though i keep getting results on this site. Anyways; what i am seeking as an alternative would also include sharing my books, short films, and music. (all in one place.) The service would need to be free; and an easy uploading process. (similar to how the archive's works.) or if someone could point me to an easy means of setting up a server... like what all i would need and how to make it possible, along with a fairly easy step by step explaining the process. I have used linux since 2015 and really never ran into problems until the past five years. I am a composer with a prolithic output; and had a steady workflow for most of the years until musegroup bought out audacity and musescore. (which i have been able to get musescore 2 in a few distros; as i prefer this over any of the post-musegroup alterations.) the same goes for audacity; prior to their changes it worked... everything flowed beautifully; and boom so many issues occured. (they still do...) since then i started using Tenacity's appimage and have some similar workflow issues due to it being a copy of post changes instead of pre-changes... (2.4.2) I went from debian to mint; due to the fact that debian wouldn't install on a new nvidia laptop. (and couldn't figure out why due to search being enshitified. or i just don't know how to search) After this; i learned about pipewire and wayland... which are implimented poorly in Mint (XFCE) Wayland has been quite atrocious lately and i am uncertain on why my mouse cursor gets pixelated at random points of time. Which would fix it's self after rebooting. Then we have pipewire which causes alsamixer settings to suddenly go mono after restart and it keeps falling back on that after changing the default. What is happening to linux? I started using it because it wasn't invasive and worked properly (aside from my trying to tackle arch about a decade ago; only to get frustrated and go to lubuntu after distrohopping for a better option.) I am in search of a good ol' operating system; one with out wayland and pipewire integrated. With musescore 2 in it's repository. GUI install prefered. Something stable; and wouldn't require too much maintainance... If there is a Arch variation with GUI install that would be the best. The biggest issue with computer use is that we have reliable frameworks for browser use, like Playwright, agent-browser, and many more, but not the same with desktops. We have really good solutions emerging, like tryCua, which I'm a big fan of. My vision with agent-desktop is to build the most reliable framework that agents can use for long-horizon tasks. agent-desktop is lightweight, built on Rust, fast, and not token-hungry (It can go for hours without exceeding the context window) Here's the approach I used to make it possible: a) skeleton snapshots - when you want to snapshot a window/app, it only snapshots the parent containers and gives back a ref id, not the entire accessibility tree. b) skeleton drilling - once the agent has that tree, it can then decide to drill into a specific region. All the subcommands like --find, --click, --wait... all work on that specific ref aware region. Meaning if you want to find an element in the entire app, it doesn't take forever searching for the entire app for that element; rather, the agent will have an exact clue on where that element might be for a fraction of the token costs. c) chained interaction fallback - a single click isn't one API call but it's an ordered chain of mechanisms (AXPress -> AXOpen -> activate through the inner cell -> write selection -> AXConfirm). Each step only runs if the element advertises it, and success is judged by watching the app's state change, not by the return code, because apps lie in both directions: Finder returns an error for an action that worked and success for one that did nothing. First observed effect wins. The response reports every step tried, so the agent knows exactly which mechanism landed. d) after-action feedback - every action reports its disposition (delivered and verified, delivered but unverified, not delivered) plus any surface that opened (dialog, menu, sheet), so the agent knows what happened without re-scanning the whole app. e) strict ref re-identification - a ref isn't a pointer; it's identity evidence (role, path, stable text, bounds hash).
